HTA Certification is a powerful way to differentiate your company from the wannabes. To maximize your company’s credibility, include the tiered HTA Certified logo and, at minimum, the basics of what HTA Certification stands for. See some examples from fellow HTA Certified firms here for inspiration.

Clients fear making a poor decision. Talk up what HTA Certification is, share the published standard, and your prospective clients are likely to eliminate non-HTA Certified firms from bidding.

To go along with this, we created a new and simple way to grab potential client’s eyes with a small HTA logo designed to be displayed along with any social media icons you have (we updated pages 15 & 16 of the HTA Brand Guide to reflect this click here for Brand Guide). The link to the new HTA icons is in your HTA digital assets folder, though here is a direct link to the icons. Here is what you should do with it...

HTA-Certified-Luxury-AV-installerPer the Brand Guide, link the icon to your company’s HTA profile page and include your unique dealer tracking number in the URL. As discussed in this document simply adding this string at the end of any link to the HTA website: ?ref=X (X = your unique dealer ID) will then put you at the top of search results if the person uses our dealer finder! Try it out here by clicking on this coded link that references DSI Luxury Technology: https://htacertified.org/av-installation-by-DSI-Luxury-Technology-los-angeles-california?ref=4606

After landing on DSI’s HTA profile page, next visit the HTA dealer finder and put in your zip code and see what happens. Yep, it really is amazing. If you don’t know your unique dealer ID, reach out to Erin Holland at erin.holland@htacertified.org and she’ll get it for you.

We recommend you link the larger tiered HTA Certified logo to the “HTA Certification Defined” page, and be sure to include your unique dealer tracking number in the URL as above. Click the HTA Certified logo above as an example...

More about the HTA's "Best in the U.S." awards

What -
The Home Technology Association’s “Best In The U.S.” awards are entirely merit-based and honor integration firms that meet the HTA’s rigorous certification standards. They are unique in that they have nothing to do with the size of the company, sales volume, or a specific project.

There are three award tiers. The Black award is given to the firms that execute the most technically and operationally challenging projects in their markets. The Platinum award is awarded to companies with a proven history of excellence in delivering technically complex projects and providing excellent customer service. The Gold award is given to companies that have a proven track record of technical proficiency and delivering outstanding experiences to consumers on simpler-scale projects. These awards are given to certified dealers that meet and maintain HTA Certification standards for the Estate, Luxury, and Foundation tiers, respectively, through 2021. You will be given a certificate to promote the award for use on your website and your marketing outreach efforts.

Are firms within each award tier differentiated? Yes. A discussion of this award with a potential client should then segue to your HTA Certification status. If your company has a showroom, a large staff, etc, these company attributes will clearly show on your HTA company profile page.

Why -
Potential clients want as much assurance that the firm they hire is qualified, and this award helps build your company’s credibility. It helps prospective clients and trade partners know you excel in the CI industry and have consistently high marks outside of a one-off project.

Less than 3% of integrators in the USA have thus far met HTA Certification criteria. You have a unique advantage in the marketplace through this award, something that legitimately differentiates you from the masses of ‘integrators’ that routinely deliver poor technology outcomes for their clients.
