The HTA’s Budget Calculator has proven to be an extremely powerful sales tool for those who use it. If you are not using it yet, tweak your sales process today (read why here). Put the burden of sticker shock on the HTA, not you! When a prospective client understands what realistic budget ranges are, they are less likely to shop around. Embed it in your website, or use your specific dealer-coded link to have prospective client budgets automatically emailed to you. We recommend putting it on a highly visible area of your website. Some companies are targeting HTA integrators to become prospective dealers for their products. These vendors have implied that they are allied with the HTA. We’ve investigated and in reality they are using the HTA website as a prospecting tool. Not cool! We want you to know that the HTA does not sell any contact information! Please let us know of any offenders. If any HTA Supporting Brand (click here to see who they are) reaches out to you, though, please at least hear them out. These are the vendors that support the HTA’s mission, and by extension, they support you!
A Simple Way to Show How Great You Are
We created a specialized icon (available now in your online HTA digital assets folder) to add next to your social media icons. It differentiates you from the unwashed masses out there. It's a great way to bring additional awareness to your HTA Certified status and is meant to be linked to your company's HTA profile page. The HTA Certification Standard Is Reaching Designers, Architects, and Builders
As you know, the HTA is actively engaged in outreach to architects, builders, and interior designers. We are continuing to make progress, and proof is shared here from this experience last week from Kozi Media Design in PA:
"I spoke to a new customer on the phone today. He shared that they had just renovated a condo in FL, so that forced them to think about redoing their Media Room in Pittsburgh. I always ask every customer how they came across Kozi Media Design, and when I asked this one, the response was different then the others, who typically said a Google Search. This time it was that his designer in FL said he should search for custom integrators that are certified. When I asked what certification, he couldn't remember. When I said was it HTA, he jumped and said 'Yes, that's the one.' Well done with getting to the designers HTA! Makes things much easier.”
The HTA wants to build up your reputation with your architect, builder, and designer contacts. Remember that the offer is always open for the HTA to send out emails with this persuasive messaging on your behalf.

HTA Certified Restrepo Innovations in NJ was recently published in Connected Design magazine, featuring a "upsmarted" spec home with luxury tech amenities.
