Seymour-Screen Excellence - Video Projectors & Screens

Founded in 2010 as a joint venture by US-based Seymour AV (Chris Seymour) and UK-based Screen Excellence (Patrice Congard), Seymour-Screen Excellence combines the leadership and innovation of their acoustically transparent projection screen materials for high-end custom installers in North America. The company’s state-of-the-art screens provide flawless picture quality and acoustic transparency, superior to traditional perforated screens or other less exacting woven screen materials. Manufacturing takes place at the company’s factory / headquarters in Ames, Iowa. Originally founded upon the latest in materials and design from Patrice Congard, recognized as the originator of the modern acoustically transparent screen, in recent years the venture has expanded its offerings with many innovative new solutions created by Chris Seymour. These include award-winning ambient light-rejecting film screen technologies, the channel’s first color temperature tunable white bias LED back lighting kits and single- and 4-way motorized masking systems.

Product Highlights:

The Absolute
The Absolute, a curved acoustically transparent masking screen, hand built in our UK factory. From 2.4 ratio to zero.
Reference Fixed Frame
Our boldest Reference Frame, at 3.75" wide by 2.5" deep, covered in the world's most light absorbing material, is designed to scale up to images over 300".
Reference Motorized Retractable
The patented design is the world's only retractable with fabric velvet borders. With the stealth Uni-tab tension we hide the tension cables, too.
The ART (Adjustable Ratio Theater)
Winner of CEDIA Best New Product, our patent pending large-size masking platform features adjustable crown, removable borders, 10' sweeping up and 20' tall.
Our thinnest of the visible-border screens, the Series-1 comes with all the product options and screen material choices.
Series-3 fixed frame
Our third largest fixed frame extrusion, at 3.3" wide and 1.6" deep, can handle all our materials and product options and scales up to 210" wide.
Fixed Magnetic Masking Panels
For the least expensive masking option, our magnetically attached panels adapt the screen shape to your content. Available in AT or non-AT velvet.
True Aspect Masking (TAM)-1
With a single, top mask, the native 16:9 screen masks down to 2.40 in an inexpensive, integrated product.
True Aspect Masking (TAM)-2
With either side masking or top/bottom, the True Aspect Masking 2-way screen is continually adjustable with the industry's thinnest borders.
True Aspect Masking (TAM)-4
With all sides infinitely adjustable, the industry's thinnest borders give more picture and more sound in the industry reference masking screen.
At about half the cost of the typical motorized masking screen, the industry's least expensive is still bespoke and hand made in Iowa. Side or top/bottom.
Ambient-Visionaire screen material
The nano-particles in our Ambient-Visionaire screen material are invisibly small and incredibly dense for a smooth, artifact-free, dynamic image.
Enlightor-PRO screen material
Our large-size woven screen material, Enlightor-PRO, is the choice of the leading mastering studios. Available up to 20' high seamless.
Multi-Format Retractable (MFR)
Our Multi-Format Retractable with either side masks or a top mask, brings a masking solution to our patented retractable design.
Our Enlightor-Neo is the only acoustically transparent screen material with no minimum seating distance and no frequency change. The reference choice.
