This is earned, not given. We explain to them that we don't view them as a project, but as a long term customer. Unlike the builder/electrician/plumber, we'll be serving them continually for the next 30 years having their passwords, security codes and other critical info. In essence, it's a technology marriage. We want to understand why they're building the home and what experiences they envision (for example, sitting by the fire pit listening to music with the grandkids, then going inside to watch a movie). From there, we can deliver the experiences if they paint the picture for us. We envision ourselves as a CE Pro 100 integrator in the near future.
