A well-known issue that has affected the CI channel for years is finding qualified new technicians to not only meet current demand, but to grow the company, too. Finding Unskilled Talent Is Easy . It is our belief at PrepTech that we can reach over 60,000 applicants for entry level home technician positions in the next year. Though how do you prepare them for becoming productive motivated workers in the field?

At PrepTECH we have built a platform to do just that. The following is what we do to help you with great new hires:

First have great messaging that appeals to the target worker. Educate them on what the work and the craft are all about. Explain how we will help them succeed in the field. Screen them for fit and ability to meet the requirements, physically, mentally and attitude. Assess them diagnostically with a series of aptitude tests specific to the job industry. We have 5 such tests that score every applicant.

We dig deep into their motivation and reasons for pursuing a career in home technology. We build with them a detailed profile that gives the hiring company in-depth insights into the candidate identifying areas of strength and weakness and where the candidate may need help.

We Connect them with hiring integrators. This is where most candidates lack the connections to get a chance to enter the industry. 

Once they are hired as an apprentice, provide 40 hours of proven, tested fundamentals training that gives the candidate the basics.

We provide the employer a checklist of skills that should be developed and verified during the first 60 days and second 60 days of working in the field.

Everybody wins when the recruit passes the 4 months of training and works productively in the field, fitting amazingly well into the company’s culture.
