Where is Outdoor Video?
Projector systems are cumbersome and delicate. Weatherized TVs are just repurposed indoor technology, too small and inadequate for real impact in an outdoor setting. Neither TV system offers a satisfactory viewing experience, especially in daylight conditions, and both fail in overall performance and reliability.
However, one of the fastest-moving sectors in tech is the Direct View LED display technology. Designed originally for billboard systems but now available in higher resolution, these displays provide the horsepower needed to solve the outdoor TV problem, yet few plug-and-play LED display systems harness this power for integrators. This makes specifying LED TV systems difficult and tasks dealers with a steep LED learning curve and the daunting system design process.
Creating an effective LED display solution requires fluency in multiple specialized skills, such as understanding how LED pixel pitch relates to overall viewing distance, designing 240VAC electrical systems, and engineering/fabricating mounts and lift systems. Sizes & Applications
Stealth knows that size & application are everything when planning an outdoor TV project. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. SPT systems come in multiple screen sizes with three models; Extreme Retracting Outdoor TV, Transformer Folding Outdoor TV, and the Megalith Massive Outdoor TV.
The Extreme is ideal for partial and fully recessed applications. At the push of a button, the motorized lifting mechanism raises the screen from its custom-finished aluminum cabinet. For audio as big as the screen, choose from cabinet-mounted speakers, which can operate while the display remains closed, or a sound bar that rises with the screen. Both options feature Stealth speaker technology. Available in four sizes from 105 to 190 inches diagonal.
The Transformer design features a unique motorized, folding LED screen in a compact, weatherized clamshell cabinet. Available with a 120-inch diagonal screen and a fully integrated 3.1 audio system.
Megalith TVs are a fixed-screen solution for on-wall, in-wall, and free-standing installations capable of withstanding direct exposure to the elements. Available with an integrated 3.0 or 3.1 sound bar in seven sizes from 101 to 339 inches diagonal.
System Control
Stealth has deep roots in audio/video integration and has designed these fully developed consumer-grade entertainment systems to work with all third-party control systems. On/off, up/down, brightness levels, input switching, and volume control for the SPT systems are at your fingertips!
You Want Brightness? We've Got It!
Until now, lack of brightness (washed-out image), poor black levels, and color uniformity issues have been the major limiting factors of outdoor TV systems. Projection systems and standard TVs are never bright enough for impactful outdoor viewing. For reference, a typical consumer model indoor television outputs a brightness of 300-400 NITS, while a consumer model "outdoor" television can reach 700-1,000 NITS.
