"Mind Share" Webinars Topics - 2026

The Home Technology Association (HTA) has announced its 2026 lineup of Mind Share webinars and 'Mastermind' discussions, designed to help HTA Certified integrators grow and stay ahead of the competition. These members-only webinars and discussions are yet another benefit for HTA Certified integrators and HTA supporting brand members, offering valuable insights to boost success. All webinars are one hour long, starting at 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST.

Some of the following sessions are open-format “Mastermind” roundtable discussions. Unlike webinars, these are Zoom meetings with cameras and microphones on, allowing you to ask questions, share insights, and learn from your peers and subject matter experts. These sessions are designed to encourage meaningful conversations and collaborative learning.

HTA Certified integrators and supporting brand members also have access to an extensive archive of past webinars, spanning topics from 2020 to 2025. Past webinar topics are at the following links: 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021.

The 5-Step Process for Getting Hired Earlier (March 17)

How to Get Architects, Interior Designers, and Builders to Invite You Early

Many integrators struggle to get brought in early and be seen as a vital design-team consultant. This session gives you a fast, repeatable process to earn trust with architects, interior designers, and builders, so you’re brought in before key decisions are locked.

What You'll Learn:

  • How to lead with credibility so trade partners see you as “low risk” from minute one
  • The simple positioning shift: consultant vs. contractor, and why it changes everything
  • How to sell paid design the right way
  • The trade-partner benefit stack: protecting aesthetics, improving space planning, reducing change orders and delays
  • How to use the Project Technology Assessment form as your “leave-behind” that drives earlier, bigger conversations

Do You See the Light? Do You SELL the Light? (April 21)

Lighting fixtures have become one of the hottest categories in the CI channel, but they’re different from most of the products you design and sell. Are you actively selling lighting fixtures, or are you interested in starting? Either way, join us for an open-format “Mastermind” roundtable discussion.

This is not a typical webinar. It’s an interactive open-format "Mastermind" virtual roundtable discussion built for real discussion, questions, and practical takeaways, with cameras and mics on so you can learn directly from vendor subject matter experts and peers.

What to Lead With to Win Architects + Interior Designers (May 19)

From “AV Guy” to Design Consultant: What to Lead With to Get Pulled In Early

Trade partners bring consultants in early. They bring subcontractors in late. If you’re being introduced as “the AV guy,” you’re being boxed into the wrong category. This webinar shows how to lead with the services and product categories architects and designers value, so you’re seen as a design-team ally, not another installer.

What You'll Learn:

  • The language and approach that reframes you as a technology design consultant (not an AV subcontractor)
  • The “design-first” categories that open doors early (and why they resonate with specifiers)
  • How to package your consultation, drawings, and documentation so trade partners view it like MEP or lighting
  • How to earn designer trust using the HTA Design Partner positioning and code-of-conduct mindset

Battery Backup, Energy Management Systems, and Power Quality (September 15)

Power That Pays and Cuts Service Calls

Poor power quality is the silent performance killer in today’s homes, leading to more service calls and client frustration. In this interactive session, subject matter experts and peers will share what’s working in the real world, including how to sell it, how to design it, and how it reduces service headaches.

This is not a typical webinar. It’s an interactive open-format "Mastermind" virtual roundtable discussion built for real discussion, questions, and practical takeaways, with cameras and mics on so you can learn directly from vendor subject matter experts and peers.

Come Ready to Discuss:

  • How to position power as system reliability, client peace of mind, and fewer service calls
  • The most common mistakes integrators make when they avoid or under-sell this category
  • Simple ways to price, package, and present power solutions so clients say “yes” faster

How to Use RP22 and RP1 to Sell Better Sound Systems (October 27)

Sell Sound with Science: Using RP22 and RP1 to Win Higher-End Audio Projects

For decades, home cinema, media room, and audio sales have been polluted by opinions and marketing hype. The joint CTA/CEDIA RP22 and RP1 'recommended practice' documents bring a more objective, research-based approach so you can design, explain, and validate performance with confidence. This session focuses on how to use these documents as a practical sales and design advantage, especially for media rooms, home theaters, and game rooms.

This is not a typical webinar. It’s an interactive open-format "Mastermind" virtual roundtable discussion built for real discussion, questions, and practical takeaways, with cameras and mics on so you can learn directly from vendor subject matter experts and peers.

Come Ready to Discuss:

  • How to translate “recommended practice” language into client-friendly benefits
  • How to defend better designs against “cheap but loud” proposals
  • How to justify better audio budgets using objective targets instead of brand hype
  • Where measurements, calibration, and room realities matter most in the sales process

AI That Pays: How Your Peers Are Winning with AI (November 10)

Everyone is talking about AI, but the real question is: what are integrators actually using day-to-day that produces results? This session is a peer-driven swap of tools, workflows, and prompts that reduce admin time, tighten operations, and help you sell more effectively.

This is not a typical webinar. It’s an interactive open-format "Mastermind" virtual roundtable discussion built for real discussion, questions, and practical takeaways, with cameras and mics on so you can learn directly from vendor subject matter experts and peers.
